"This exhibition presents work spanning my career with an emphasis on work produced

during my high school and undergraduate years. I graduated from Macomb High

School in 2009, earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the

University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 2013, and completed my Master of

Fine Arts in Sculpture at the University of Iowa in 2022. The pieces included here

represent formative explorations in drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media

connected to place, home, formative identity, and family.

I am currently a teaching artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the

opportunity to exhibit this work near both my hometown and my college community

underscores the significance of place in my creative development. This collection

serves as both a retrospective of my early practice and an acknowledgment of the

educational and personal environments that continue to influence my work."
