Sun Cloud

I created Sun Cloud with Seasonal Affective Disorder in mind. We create buildings to shelter ourselves from the harsh elements of winter, but in the process, we often find ourselves separated from the sunlight and sensory experiences needed to regulate healthy minds. Constructed from old bedsheets, its shelter interplays with the light and warmth of the sun, the inspiring colors of sunset, the diffused fragrances, the birds’ songs, and the rhythm of nature, creating a space for visitors to meditate on the ways in which colors and light shape our perceptions of the world.
